It's been a few days since my return to the U.S. and as I settle back into work, I can't help but think about the experiences I've taken away from the trip. It was my first time visiting India and I'd never been on a group trip before. As I mentioned on my KickOff post, I found that the trips in between the start-ups where I got to talk with other geeks about India and the emerging market opportunities was just as interesting to...Read full story »
As we started our approach to the Mumbai airport you could see the shanty towns and as we were headed to the hotel, it was unbelievable to see so much poverty existed in one condensed area. Mumbia, formerly Bombay, has population of approximately 20.5 million. We stayed at The Taj Mahal Palace hotel, a wonderful hotel with an amazing view. The view from my room looked over the The Gateway of India which is a monument...Read full story »
The first weekend that we arrived we headed over to StartupWeekend Bangalore. On the way to the event, Geeks On A Plane (GOAP) organizers from 500 Startups, Christen O’Brien and Bruna Maia, got the team started on the geek bus by assigning each geek as a mentor to an Indian startup for their pitch.

Wahooly crowdsources brand evangelists for companies in exchange for capital.
Being in India was a surreal experience. The country is the second largest country in the world...Read full story »

I started out my trip with a NADA University presentation from Lindsay Schultz from Google. She touched on the marketing model called the Zero Moment of Truth (ZMOT).
